Rumours vs Marketing Tactic
18 March 2020 marked a special date for all Malaysians.
Movement Control Order (MCO) was enforced to curb the spread of COVID-19 that has infected millions of people throughout
the world. Under the MCO, only essential businesses and services are allowed to operate. People are not allowed to go
out of their houses apart from going to buy daily necessities only. Almost all economic activities were at a standstill.
With courier and delivery services classified as essential services (allowed to operate), most people started buying
online. Not only foods, people are buying all sorts of items online during the MCO.
Hence, we were finally forced to make our presence felt in the e-commerce world.
With the advice and encouragement from friends and families, we have since started our online shop on Lazada Mall, on
top of our previous Shopee seller account. Selling construction and waterproofing materials online is a new challenge
for us, but is a route that we must strive through.
If there is a will, there is a way. And most importantly, hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will be over in the nearest
